Sigiriya – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights

Route: Colombo → Sigiriya → Kandy → Nuwara Eliya → Colombo

Day 1 – 29 July 2026 : Colombo → Sigiriya

Depart Colombo after breakfast for Sigiriya. En route visit the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple with its ancient frescoes and Buddha statues. Check into the hotel in Sigiriya and relax.

Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 2 – 30 July 2026: Sigiriya → Kandy

Early morning climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress for panoramic views and to explore its 5th-century frescoes. Continue to Kandy, visiting a spice garden in Matale along the way. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and enjoy a cultural dance performance.

Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 3 – 31 July 2026: Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Scenic drive through tea plantations to Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England.” Visit a tea factory to learn about Sri Lanka’s famous Ceylon tea. Explore Gregory Lake and the colonial-era town.

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4 – 1 August 2026: Nuwara Eliya → Colombo

Leisurely morning before departing back to Colombo, arriving by evening.

Route: Colombo → Sigiriya → Polonnaruwa → Kandy → Colombo

Day 1 – 29 July 2026: Colombo → Sigiriya

Depart Colombo after breakfast for Sigiriya. En route visit Dambulla Cave Temple. Afternoon at leisure or optional village experience with bullock cart ride and canoe trip.

Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 2 – 30 July 2026: Sigiriya → Polonnaruwa → Kandy

Morning climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Continue to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (UNESCO Heritage Site) to see its royal palaces, temples, and the famous Gal Vihara rock statues. Travel onwards to Kandy. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 3 – 31 July 2026: Kandy → Colombo

Enjoy a city tour of Kandy including the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Depart for Colombo, arriving by evening.
